Stopover in Frankfurt : what to do and when to leave
Frankfurt is one of the great European hubs. The center is close by train, but the controls, the change between terminals and the distance to the gates can turn an apparent stopover into an exit that is too tight.
With less than 6 hours, it is usually better to stay in FRA. From 7–8 hours a short tour around Römerberg and the Main can fit if you can enter Germany, the luggage continues to the destination and you book a conservative return.
